The Mansion

The Mansion was a project I created for a Halloween competition in the Duquesne Composer’s society. I used footage from a silent film called La maison ensorcelée. I then added sound effects together on top of the music I wrote. I used Jewish and Muslim prayers in reverse. The horn instrument heard throughout the piece is a shofar, which is a traditional Jewish instrument. The piece came in second place in the competition.

お金を幸せに過ごす (Live Long Spend Money)

This multimedia project was created for my senior composition recital. It is based on the vaporwave genre. The video itself is vintage tv commercials mixed with glitches based on the subliminal messages seen in the movie “They Live”. The music is a vaporwave remix of Material Girl by Madonna recontextualizing the song to only be about money highlighting the inconsistencies and underlying darkness within consumerism.
